Leadership and review of a design team is a primary function however it is necessary that the candidate possess substation detail design skills.

Job Summary: Primarily responsible for performing field service work on a regular basis, while also performing sales, administrative, & possibly supervisory duties in the Boise, ID market area. Technically support work activity throughout the primary (Idaho) and secondary market (Oregon) territory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all aspects of field service work in the area including customer contact, job estimating, proposal preparation, field work, scheduling, reports, and billing. May include supervision, training, assisting other field personnel while on the jobsite.
· Lead large projects requiring specialized skills such as generator acceptance tests, commissioning of larger substations, acceptance and maintenance testing, detailed power survey and other types of electrical consultation.

FIELD SERVICE TECHNOLOGIST-Dallas, TX

Our Client's Power Systems Services Division provides customers with a wide range of electric power industry engineering and construction services. The division also coordinates large orders involving multiple product divisions and/or third parties and provides field services for customers that include trouble-shooting, performing emergency repairs and preventative maintenance; modifying and upgrading products; providing startup assistance/installation supervision; and training on all company products of both current and past vintages.

The work of a Field Service Technologist is performed using various hand tools (personal property) and specialty tools (supplied by company) on equipment such as power quality equipment and other equipment such as, Circuit-Breakers, Circuit-Switchers, Metal-Enclosed Gear that is in a de-energized and grounded state. The work is performed in accordance with OSHA and industry safety practices such as "Lock Out/Tag Out" and includes utilization of extensive personal protective equipment.

Field service is performed domestically and internationally at times convenient to the customer for scheduled outages and is coordinated with other work efforts occurring on site. The service work may be warranty-related in support of the Product Divisions, commercial in nature in support of the Sales Division or may be in support of the business objectives of the Power Systems Services Division. Verbal and written communication skills are required as part of the documentation process associated with the physical work effort.
